VR experience booth displayed at Zexy Festa from Recruit Tech. ATL on Vimeo.
Hi, this is @kkawamura who rarely writes for this blog.
In ATL, we consider using technologies and devices such as VR (Virtual Reality) and AR (Augmented Reality) into services. We have developed some applications with Oculus Rift since last year, and this time because we had a chance to work with Zexy, which is a bridal business by Recruit Group Company, we helped its event.
We participated in the event “Zexy Festa –Overseas and Domestic Resort Wedding” on the 20th and 21st of June, 2015. The event was for those who were interested in having a resort wedding, and they had a chance to learn what popular resort areas were like, and they also could talk about detailed plans with the event staff. We made and exhibited an application which enabled people to experience and simulate being at every resort for customers who had not decided specifically where to have a wedding.
The application simply showed movies and still-pictures with the 360 degree monitor view via Oculus Rift. Many couples stopped by the booth, and the exhibition went over pretty well. There were many people who it was their first time to use a VR headset and they seemed to enjoy wearing the headset, which made us see massive potential in VR and Head Mount Display.
Some media was introduced at this event, so please see the following web sites as well.
- Recruit Technologies displayed a virtual reality system which simulates being at resorts with VR headset
- Virtual Reality of honeymoons with Head Mount Display displayed by Recruit Technologies
We keep considering using VR services at ATL Recruit Technologies.
